What we're seeing
At Edward R. Roybal Learning Center, chronic absenteeism has fallen 50% over the 5-year window — from 1.9% in 2017 to 1.0% in 2020. Despite that, the gap vs US average of ~28% has actually widened — from 26.1% below in 2017 to 27.0% below in 2020.
